Parents Plus Children's ADHD programme

Parents Plus Children's ADHD programme is a new modified version of the evidence based Parents Plus Children’s programme that addresses the needs of parents of children with ADHD aged 6-12 years. Parenting a child with ADHD can bring special challenges, but with the right support, parents can overcome these and ensure their children reach their full potential.

Topics Include:

Responding positively as a parent, stablishing routines, managing concerning behaviour, problem solving , long term supports, supporting siblings, manage stress, support child's education and learning.

About this event- I AM BABA is a theatre adventure for babies created by internationally renowned theatre director Anna Newell ( www.annanewell.co.uk ) and composer David Goodall. Their shows for early years have been seen on five continents, off-Broadway and in every single Sure Start in Belfast. Free online learning hub for Parents and Young People with Dyslexia.

This FREE online learning hub, developed by the Dyslexia Association of Ireland , allows you to learn more about dyslexia. The hub is designed to be accessible with information broken down into bite-size chunks, lots of videos, and signposting to additional resources. There is no need to log in or remember a password – you can explore the hub and learn freely in your own time and at your own pace.

The hub is primarily aimed at parents and young people with dyslexia at primary level, however, the content will also be of interest to older individuals with dyslexia, educators, and others.

The Parent Hub Donegal has been successful in securing

funding under the HSE Community Healthcare Cavan Donegal Leitrim Monaghan and Sligo (CH CDLMS) for a new Parenting Initiative. Supporting parents is a key priority of CH CDLMS and the aim of this initiative is to inform and empower parents by having a suite of podcasts /webinars and other resources available providing accurate parenting information, tips, and strategies. The Initiative will consider specifically parenting challenges and issues based on identified parenting needs, priorities, concerns, and issues.

Funding to develop ten podcasts /webinars which will be recorded and uploaded onto a suitable platform, for use by parents. We need your help to ensure that we are giving parents the information that they want and need. Please follow this link to view survey.

Tusla have created short guide available in both English and Ukrainian was written to help parents who have recently arrived in Ireland. It provides information to help families navigate cultural differences, laws and ways of parenting, which may be different to their country of origin.
